For years and years my dad has asked my family to come to redfish lake with them. I went as a teenager and once during college but had never taken my kids. When my dad got pushed into a early retirement from the BSA (long story) I told him that day I could come to redfish and I was good on my word. Lucky for us we had the best time!
Bryan couldn't come with us so it was just me and the boys making the long drive up to Stanley Idaho. Nate and his family were exposed to Covid so they took a extra day to come to get their covid test results back. My parents and my Aunt Jill and Uncle Phil were on the trip with us.
Turn out on the way to Stanley Idaho. We take boats and jet skis to the other side of the lake to camp. Ty wasted no time and got to fishing right away.
The boys and I loved being out on this beautiful lake! Phil has a really nice boat and we were pretty much the only boat on our end of the lake.
Easton got this mask and cape for his birthday early from Grandma Palmer.
My uncle Phil
Blake was super brave (the water was cold!) and tried out the knee board. He did awesome! What a back drop!
Phil always has music on- this was Stock dancing.
Paddle boarding Stock
We bought Eastons pirate flag to put on the boat.
redfish lake lodge.
Phil has two rules of redfish- one- you have to have fun. two- Phil buys the ice cream. So we headed for the lodge to get some ice cream. And use a real bathroom the one by us smelled SO BAD.
Nate and his family made it! Just in time for Easton's 5th birthday!
I was worried what East would think having his birthday at the lake but he absolutely loved it. We made a big deal of him and even did a treasure hunt with real treasure! (candy)
Cliff jumping- even Stockton did it! Then Nate was trying to help dive for a guys Apple Watch and pulled up someone ELSES Apple Watch. I wonder how many of those are in this spot??
Super proud of Stock for being brave enough to cliff jump.
The treasure hunt crew! I found these paper pirate hats and they were a hit.
We had to take the boat across the lake to find the buried treasure. He was so happy.
Of course we had Dutch oven birthday cake.
We had to head home a little early- my kids were sad to leave. We got their Sunday and left on Wednesday.
When we got home East opened a couple more presents from me.

These photos are out of order but I tried my hand at night photography.
We bought a old scout tent from my dad and it was huge! Big enough I brought my air bed and we filled it up from the boat. So nice to not be on the ground for me.
I loved this trip. I will have good memories for the rest of my life from it.
