October 2024

We start out October with Blakes 17th birthday!

Hunting, Fishing and sports stuff as per norm for Blake.
Bugging Easton ask as per norm.
Stockton is really into bowling so we have been trying to go more often.

From Tysons email- SUNDAY Today was easily the craziest day of my mission... I almost died. And it was a normal day up until 8:00. It was a usual Sunday a great church lesson and very relaxing. But later that night me and my comp were driving down a small canyon alongside a place called Red hills. We were driving down this road and just beyond our turnoff there was a car driving 5mph down the road. And in case you didn't read my last email in new mexico on sketchy roads thats usually a bad thing. So we turned off to the house, I look back and they are flashing their lights. So we pulled into we were going to see a house we had been teaching but it had nobody there. So we turn around and as we cut back onto the main dirt road we saw that car again driving slow in front of us. So we tried to go around but they cut in front of us. So now they were trying to block us off which in this town rarely ever meant anything good. There was a little pullout section so we used that to zoom past. But I look behind us as we passed them and see them rapidly speed up. So I tell my comp he's speeding up and I tell him to gun it. So we drive and this creep is chasing us. Me and my comp are wigging out but then I start to think. I tell my comp to get to the main road (route 66) and drive to the police station. This guy is flying behind us. (Also mission cars have these stupid sensors that yell at you for going to fast so the entire time the thing kept saying, "check your speed") So I make a decision and take my comps phone and call the cops. We pull into the police station and I see them Wizz by overall the plan worked. Sadly we couldn't tell the cops much because we were so panicked we couldn't properly describe the car or the license plate. We'll we got back to our apartment and kept my woodcutting axe close. We both said prayers thanking God for not having anything block our path so he could catch us.

Conference weekend at the cabin with the cousins.
Pack cousins!
Cowboy out at the football game.
Region cross country at the Heritage center! Blake did amazing! A PR for him.
Varsity- Ben T, Drew, Brock, Blake, G, Ben S and Josh. All good friends of Blakes. They had such a good time together.

Brett and I went to the pumpkin walk together. No one else wanted to go!

Stockton got his first buck! I was sitting on the couch and they came in and said they didn't get anything. I felt bad because I figured since they were coming home so late they would have got a deer. Then Blake told me to go to the garage and there it was! Stocktons first buck! Blake, Bryan and Easton were with him. It took two shots. Good job Stock!
Grandpa had to drive over to see it.

Then later that week Blake woke up early and went up by himself. He not only shot this deer alone, he gutted it and hauled it out alone too. What a stud.

Divisional's in Orem, Utah. Uncle Nate was working in the area so he went to watch him too. The best part was Ridgeline qualified for STATE!!!

Rzr/dirbike ride with dad
No one loves a fire more than Bryan does. Burning some stuff in the garden at the end of the season.
STATE! Oh man it was so cold. It had snowed that night and melted before the race. Instead of snow it was rain but freezing cold. I have no idea how the boys did so well running.

They all did so good. So proud of these boys.
Brett is a Nazgul from Lord of the Rings.
East was Freddie from 5 nights at Freddie's

I took Eastons friend Carter and Bretts friends Jackson and Travin trick or treating this year.

September 2024

Ty and one of his best friends Jack were in the MTC for a week at the same time. Jack was finishing his training with Spanish so he was still there. I was so beyond happy when I saw this photo that they ran into each other!

Dad took the younger three on a hike.

Elder Palmer loved his MTC experience! He loved his district so much.
My oven crapped out so I got a new one for my birthday.
Rzr ride with the McEvoy's
I made a mistake after Ty left. My kids were ready to move rooms and it ended up that we were going to switch Blakes room with Brett and Stockton. Which means I had to box up everything of Tysons and put it away. I made him go through some of his stuff before he left but obviously there would be some left. To box his things up made me cry my eyes out. It was HORRIBLE. It was like we were erasing him from our lives even through we weren't. I would find a little piece of paper with his name on it from years ago and cry. Ugh. I would have waited a couple months before I did that again.

Also going through Stocktons things to help him move downstairs was like a episode of hoarders.

Grandmas 70th birthday! We met in bear lake for Cory and Katie and went to Cafe Sabor.

I won best of Cache Valley- best family photographer!

Phone call from Elder palmer still in the MTC.
My parents were gone for the weekend and so we headed to the cabin to help in the yard. We spent the day smoothing out their backyard for grass.
While we were there we found the rims to Tysons sunglasses. He spent the summer working here.
Bryan's birthday! 44.
x-country! Blake is doing so awesome this season. Race at the American west heritage center.

Easton had a field trip to antelope island so I came with him. We went in the water looking for brine shrimp.
