I had been wanting to go on this trip for many, many years. Well before I had my family. I especially wanted Tyson and Blake to see Bryan's mission before they went on their own missions. I wanted them to feel the spirit that was in the sacred grove and have a picture of what it looked like as they taught people about it.
I was worried about them not loving this trip. It was hard to find great places to stay for our large family and going on history tours may not be their favorite thing. But it seemed like now or never so we went for it.
We flew into Rochester NY and drove to Lake Canandaigua. I found a little house off the lake so Ty could go fishing. That was a really smart choice. We bought a cheep fishing pole at Walmart and a 10$ license and he went fishing.
Ty loved catching fish he had never caught before. Of course he knew most of their names because of his love of fish.
Our view from the front of the house we were staying at. The house itself was older but was clean and had space for our family.
Of course blogger put these in backward again- This is us once we got to New York. We absltouly loved upstate New York! It was beautiful! We took a lot of backroads through all of these little towns with the most beautiful old homes.
We had a stop in Chicago quick at the smaller airport.
