Brett David

Bryan and I have had a hard time our last couple of kids agreeing on a name for our boys. We have had so many boys by now that we have a hard time agreeing.  When Stockton was born I really wanted to name him Easton but Bryan won out and we named him Stockton.  I wasn't too excited about it at first but now I love it.  So when we found out I was having another boy I told Bryan I really wanted to name him Easton.  He said he didn't mind it but really didn't like it.  A few months before he was born Bryan told me he wanted to name him Brett.  I had a annoying neighbor boy growing up named Brett so I wasn't too excited about it.  A few weeks later I asked him why he was so stuck on that name.  He said he really wanted him name him after our friend Brett McEvoy.   I started thinking about it and I loved the idea.  I also knew Brett was one of those names that would fit him his whole life and not just a baby name.  I quit thinking of the neighbor boy and though about our friend and it just fit. His middle name, David, comes from my dad.  In his baby blessing Bryan blessed him to learn about the people he was named after and try to be like them because they are righteous men.

Hopefully Brett doesn't think we are weird stockers to name our kid after him. =)

June happenings

June was a CRAZY month! Somedays I feel so worn out.  Ok most days- 4 is a lot of kids!
I saw this adorable picture on pinterest of 4 kids laying on each other but I knew Stockton would never go for it.  I tried it with the three and that didn't work out like I hoped.  It's still kind of cute though.
Brett was going in and out of sleep and started to smile in his sleep.  He is just starting to smile a little bit in the last couple of weeks. Brett loves to be held like this.  Sometimes when he is tried I can get him to fall asleep on me like this.
Blake got a toy chainsaw and goggles for his 2nd birthday but came upstairs the other day looking like this.  I had to get a picture.
This is Stockton's "CHEESE!" face.  He WILL NOT let me try to feed him.  As a matter of fact if I give him his food wrong he will throw it.  If his juice is in the wrong sippy cup he goes into a full out fit.  The problem is I never know what is right and wrong with him!  But with a kid this cute it's hard to be upset with him for long.
Poor Ty is still  having some stomach issues ever since he had his appendix out.  Poor little guy.  He was so backed up it made him sick.  He is doing better now though.
This is my sweet niece Kiya.  She was blessed the second weekend in June.  We went down to my parents new house in Pleasant Grove and my brother lives near by.
Our FIRST FAMILY PHOTO! Brett is like 6 weeks old but we finally got one.  And no, I'm not trying to "get away" from Bryan.  I'm leaning away to help Brett from falling over and it looks like Bryan and I are trying to be apart or something. I guess all of Bryan's friends from work teased him about it after I posted it on facebook.

Pack Grandkids

I'm finding a lot of stuff I haven't posted yet and need to!  These pictures seem like forever ago but they were only a month ago.  My parents were only able to have two children so they are way excited to have 5 grandchildren!  Especially to have two babies born only 8 days apart.  I'm sure that will never happen again.

My 4 crazy boys.  Brett is about a month old in this picture.

Photoshop

I love photography and I would love to learn photoshop better but I stink at it.  These are old pictures but I love them and needed to post them. I tried with these photos and I liked how they turned out.   Brett was 5 weeks old in these pictures.

Pako

Stockton's nick name has evolved a lot.  We've called him a lot of different names but lately he his Stocko Pako.

Stockton is saying "no no no!" at the end of this video.  Bryan taught him that when he says "what does mommy say?" he says "no no no" and wags his finger.

June Happenings

I was trying to do laundry the other day but my basket was just too much fun to play in.

Stock was laying on the couch and so I put Brett next to him.  He started babbling to him like Brett could understand what he was saying and then put his arm around him.  I hope they grew up to be good friends.  I'm sure they will fight a lot and wrestle like brothers do but I hope in the end they will be glad they are so close in age.  I am always feeling so horribly guilty that Stockton had to grow up so fast and not be the baby anymore.  Bryan thinks I'm silly for saying that but I think a lot of mom's feel guilty about this or that but lately I feel so guilty about stuff it's giving me anxiety. I'm actually having physical symptoms of anxiety. I'll be making lunch and I can hear the baby start fussing and I just need one more minute to finish what I'm doing then I'll get to the baby.  I then feel really guilty that I need to be picking Brett up and I'm not.  On the other end if I'm feeding Brett and the boys need me for something I always have to tell them in a minute that Blake told me the other day "you always say in a minute".  Ugh. I'll be out in my garden picking strawberries wondering if the baby in inside screaming and I'm not with him or that Stockton want's to play outside but it's windy and I can't take the baby out. If I need to go somewhere with all my kids it's like a 45 min process to get everyone dressed, ready and fed before we go.  I wish I wasn't so frazzled so I could just sit back and enjoy my boys.  They are so much fun!  Brett is sweetest thing ever and I can't get enough of Stockton.  He is so cute the way  he babbles to me like I should know what he is saying.  When he walks it's almost like he is trotting around.

Stockton with is Elmo. He was walking my house hugging his little Elmo.
My little monkey.  =) He is starting to get really chunky!  He is starting to sort of smile at us. He is 8 weeks old and we have yet to see a real, serious smile. He goes to bed at 11- then he wakes up at 3 and 6 usually.  If only I would quit falling asleep holding him for a few hours .

Tyson rides a bike

My sweet tyson has had the hardest time with riding a bike.  He would get so frustrated he would quit.  I finally told him unless he really tried he couldn't play the Wii anymore and he started to really work at it.  One day he was yelling for me outside and he went one day going a food on the bike to all the way down the driveway. I was so proud of him! Later that day Bryan asked him how he figured it out and he told him he prayed to know how to ride his bike.  That night he had a dream that you had to move the handle bars back and forth and that he knew he would be able to do it.  He said it so matter of fact too.  What an amazing little boy!
