Brett David

Bryan and I have had a hard time our last couple of kids agreeing on a name for our boys. We have had so many boys by now that we have a hard time agreeing.  When Stockton was born I really wanted to name him Easton but Bryan won out and we named him Stockton.  I wasn't too excited about it at first but now I love it.  So when we found out I was having another boy I told Bryan I really wanted to name him Easton.  He said he didn't mind it but really didn't like it.  A few months before he was born Bryan told me he wanted to name him Brett.  I had a annoying neighbor boy growing up named Brett so I wasn't too excited about it.  A few weeks later I asked him why he was so stuck on that name.  He said he really wanted him name him after our friend Brett McEvoy.   I started thinking about it and I loved the idea.  I also knew Brett was one of those names that would fit him his whole life and not just a baby name.  I quit thinking of the neighbor boy and though about our friend and it just fit. His middle name, David, comes from my dad.  In his baby blessing Bryan blessed him to learn about the people he was named after and try to be like them because they are righteous men.

Hopefully Brett doesn't think we are weird stockers to name our kid after him. =)

I don't think he would think that all. I bet he feels very humbled. :)

I have tears in my eyes reading this. No he does not think you are weird staulkers! We think it's amazing!

I'm glad those pictures you took of them together turned out good. When I was reading the post about Brett being such a happy/mellow/easy baby I thought that sounds just like my Brett :) We need to come and snuggle that cute thing again!
