Frogs

I really don't understand why little boys LOVE frogs.  But they do.  They really, really do.  So last Friday we took the boys out to where they like to go fishing and caught some frogs.  You know, some days I really wonder how I'm going to survive with all these boys.  I'm not into yucky frogs, or worms or spiders etc.  But they love them so I put up with them.
This is my "look what I got mom" picture.  Right before I said "keep that thing away from me!"

Look at his face!! I love this picture!

Now my little Stockton was the best. He was obsessed with his little frog Bryan found him.  He would put him down and chase him around then catch him again.

Stockton couldn't have been happier with his little frog friend.
Until he loved him so much he squished him trying to keep him from jumping away.  And he was devastated.

It was about the worst day of his little life poor little guy.  On the bright side I didn't have a his little frog friend jumping around our car on the way home.  So you know, it all worked out for the best.

Temple open house and Cache County Fair

I'm super sad that our summer vacation is coming to a end.  Don't get me wrong- somedays I can't wait until the older boys are back in school but I just love the summer.  I love going out and sitting in the yard while the kids play and it's so nice. So we are trying to enjoy every last minute we have.  Last week we did a couple of fun things.  We went to the Cache County fair and walked around.  We always have to go see the tractors.  Brett especially loved all the animals.  He really loved the chickens. My older boys wanted to ride on some of the rides this year and Bryan told them they could pick one and he would pay for them to ride it.  It's 4 dollars a kid per ride! For those crapy rides? Seriously.  But there wasn't anywhere that would take a debit card at the fair.  At least that we could find.  So I dodged a bullet there. I ended up coming back a couple of days later with Stockton, Blake and Ty and we went to the rodeo! I love the rodeo! Bryan was being a huge poo about it so he stayed home.  But don't tell him that I think Brett would have lasted for the first hour and then fallen apart so it was good that Brett wasn't with us.  My older boys loved it.  It was so fun.

Also last week Bryan was going with the youth from our ward to the Ogden temple open house.  So I insisted that we tag along because I knew he wouldn't want to drive there twice.  Of course it was fantastic and my boys were so good.  My little boys were positive they were going to see Jesus there.  Brett kept telling us "jesus come out!" I told Stock that you won't see Jesus but  you will get a  happy feeling inside that tells you he is close by.  So when I say you can feel him he took that literally and felt every carpet in the temple. We had to stop in every room we walked into stopping the line of people for him to feel the carpet.  So in his words "the carpet in Jesus house is really soft mom!".

 Part of our  Youth Group.

Tyson took this picture for me.  Why do people feel like they need to walk behind you when your taking a picture?  There were very few people on this side of the temple and a sidewalk just in front of us and they still walked behind.  We had to take like 20 picture and I still had to crop people out.

Bear Lake Cabin

We were lucky to be invite to use my dad's coworkers cabin again this summer.  It is so nice! Lots of bedrooms so the boys and I get the basement to ourselves. The deck is fenced in so the little kids can go out there and play without us having to worry about them.  My boys were really funny this year at the water too.  They really got into jet skiing.  Well all but Brett.  But he even was playing in the water which is a big improvement for him!

Stock was scared at first to ride the jet ski so when we got there and he asked to ride it with me I hurried and got him on before he changed his mind.  We went pretty slow at first to not scare him and all of the sudden he starts waving his arm and saying "HELLO BEAR LAKE! I'M STOCKTON LOWELL!" Then you would hear this little wahoo every once in awhile.  So cute.
Ty rode on the tube with my brother again this year.  I think they would have gone more but my brother and his family only stayed one day with us.  He is getting to be a little dare devil.
Nate was pulling the kids on the tube back and forth for a little while.  They thought that was a fun game.
 Kiya especially liked it.
With how scared Brett is of the water I was so impressed he was sitting down in it.
This is my dad laughing about how they caught air off of a wave with my boys.  Nate said they were like a foot out of the water.  Ty said "I've never felt so alive!" but that my dad was crazy.
 Sweet little Daxton.
Ty having a water fight with my dad.

Our cabin is on a golf course so after hours we got out in the backyard and hit a few balls around.  My Uncle Phil and his family came over for FHE and eat with us there.  He LOVES to golf so he was showing my boys how to do it.

This next morning was Nate's 29th birthday.  His sweet wife blew up these balloons and put things she loved about him in them.  My parents and I did a few of those too.

Dax is wearing a little outfit my boys wore when they were babies.  ::tear:: so cute!

This is the best we could do with a grandkid picture.

Nate went home but we spent another day at the beach.

Seriously out of like 20 pictures this was the best one.

So the rest of these are out of order but I don't feel like moving them around.  Sorry for my laziness.

Blake put his arm around Kiya so she wouldn't fall off.
