Bryan's 32 b-day

Bryan's birthday falls in the middle of lots of birthday for the Palmer family so we did a little thing this year for his big day.  He got his gun and scope as part of his birthday so the boys bought him a couple of little things and that was it.  Blake and Ty helped me make his cake too.  I wanted to do a fairy princess cake but Blake wouldn't let me.

Look at all those boys.

September

I thought it would be cute to get a picture of my boys before bedtime.  Everyone didn't mind except poor Stockton.
On Labor day we went to Wellsville for the parade they do every year.  My sis in law with her girls and my in laws came as well.  We got lots of candy! Bryan's sisters Jenny's kids were in the parade too so it was fun to see them.
Blake, Lily, Stockton (cheering, he loves parades) Becca, Ava, Tyson and Bryan with Brett in the back.
My niece Laycee is in the middle in the green shirt.  She loved the attention.
We wanted to do a sort of ward party at our house on Labor day that ended up getting moved over to our friends Shelly and Jason's house.  They have this huge, beautiful backyard and it was perfect for it! Bryan made his homemade rootbeer and some homemade fries and everyone brought some meat and something to share.  I really love the area that I live in.  There are so many great people.

 Bryan and Jeff Gibson.
So this picture looks funny but he was laughing so hard because he was letting Stockton chase him.  Ty is the BEST big brother!  He is so good to his little brothers.  I miss him because he is gone all day at school.  Then when he gets home he is off playing.  Ty is growing up WAY too fast!  He still hugs me and tells me he loves me all the time though.  I'm enjoying that while it lasts.  The other day I didn't know it was a early out day at school and was late picking him up.  I felt so bad but it didn't seem to bother him too bad.  I remember being a kid and that really freaking me out when my mom was late coming to get me.

Blake really misses Ty while he is at school.  He is doing SO GOOD in preschool though!  He as so many little friends and does his workbook without me having to really help him.  I hope I can have him reading before kindergarden.

The kid is CRAZY!

Few things in this entire world are cuter then my little Stockton.  He has the sweetest personality and does such funny things but I swear he is going to be the death of me! He is a NUT!
He has finally started to really talk.  He repeats the last word you say all the time.  For example "Stock pick up that Toy." He says Toy, stuff like that.  But he is saying bigger words too.  We got Ty a pirate outfit for halloween and he started saying Pirate.  Then when Blake was bothering him the other day he told him to "quit it." My favorite is when I was singing to him he put his finger up to his mouth and said "shhhh! Mama shhh." When you scare him he tells you shhhh too.  That one is mostly to Bryan when he is chasing him around the house.  I bet he adds 25-30 words a week to his vocab.  It's like dam of words finally broke and is spilling out and I love it!
We are more of a wendy's family but Blake got this a burger king when he went to the fire station with preschool then to get a ice cream there after. Stock wore it a lot that day.
So Stockton feels the need to be in the front seat whenever he can get into my van.  I can always tell if he sat there because the lights turn on and the radio is loud.  He gets mad when I make him sit in his chair.  He really likes the automatic sliding door and pushes the button for it when he can.  The other day he thought he needed to help it shut too but had his thumb in the way and it closed on it.  It dented it pretty bad but he is using it fine.

Stock has a bad habbit of thinking he needs to climb into my jetted tub in my master bathroom, alone, and turn the water on to splash in it.  This one really scares me because he could step on the drain and fill the tub up.  I usually catch him pretty quick and now just keep my bathroom door shut at all times to keep him out but he is a quick little guy.  He was wearing footie pj's on night and came into my kitchen with his feet wet.  We followed his trial of footprints to my tub where he must have climbed in (in the dark) turned on the water, played for a sec and climbed out.  He did it in a few minute time span too.
Stockton loves watching little movies on the computer.  Mostly muppets, pixar shorts, wiggles etc.  It's usually how I get him to hold still while I cook dinner.  He dances around to it and sings along.  I'm actually not sure why he is crying in this picture-

A couple of weeks ago we all got this horrible, horrible cold with a bad cough.  Brett and I started with it, then Bryan and then Blake.  Ty sort of had it but it wasn't too bad.  Then all of the sudden Stockton went from running around one day to high fevers and not wanting to talk or move off the couch.  I ran him into instacare because no one else had had a fever with it and it worried me.  His oxygen was 94, 95 and he should have been around 100.  The dr. looked into his ears and throat (Stock was a wild cat about it, he hates the dr) and the dr felt like he needed a x-ray to make sure it wasn't pneumonia.  To get a x-ray of a little kid they have to hold still so they put him in this brace then with his arms above his head and facing something to where he couldn't see.  He was SCREAMING and so upset.  I felt so, so bad.  I just cried. The poor little guy was so sick and you can't explain to a 2 year old why they have to do that.  Well he did have pneumonia but it was only a little spotty so wasn't too bad.  I get him home and he is on my couch and fall asleep holding his sucker from his x-rays.  He held on to it for like 3  hours.

I was looking at him while he was laying down and I could see something white in his nose.  I thought it was weird so I push on his nose and I could tell it was hard.  I went and got Bryan off the lawn mower and he came in and tried to pull it out.  It started to got farther up his nose so we decided to run him to the Dr. AGAIN to get it out.  The dr. that morning had never looked in his nose and didn't catch it.  Can you imagine the dr. being like "uh miss, your child has a eraser stuck up his nose." and me being like "oh really?" MOTHER OF THE YEAR!  I'm guessing it was in there for a day or two because I saw him playing with the mechanical pencils and it was the eraser (a full new one) that was up there.  I lucked out that I didn't have to take him back up to instacare but my dr.'s office does a kids care on Saturday and it was our normal dr. that was there.  I told Dr. Brown I was SO HAPPY to see him there.  I knew he could get it out.  I was worried they would have to put him out or we would have to see a ENT to get it out.  It was sort of a good thing he was sick because he was too tired to fight much and dr. Brown was able to pull it out in a couple of minutes.  He was just about to go home too so we were really blessed to catch him.
The afternoon didn't get too much better for poor Stock.  He was running a 102 fever on Morton and I've never had a kid fever on that.  I put him in the tub and gave him Tylenol on top of the other and it finally went down enough he started acting better.  He was talking to me and wanting to drink a little bit. They gave me a breathing treatment for him but he would freak out when we gave it to him.  Bryan left for work that night until midnight so I was scared to have all 4 alone because Brett feels he needs to be held all the time but I needed to help Stockton.  Brett, for the first time in a month, took a 3 hour nap so I could help Stockton or just hold him.  God always seems to do that for me.  When things are really hard he does something to help me get though it.
He was acting better the next day and a couple of days layer you wouldn't even know he was sick.  What a blessing it didn't get any worse!

He LOVES otter pop's and our tramp.  I love his hair. I've been letting it grow long because I love his blonde hair but he is starting to get a mullet so we are going to have to cut it soon.  =(

He's throwing a potato- look how he is throwing it.
He is always putting things in his mouth- money, rocks, toys, anything he can find.  He also is a climber.  He gets on my kitchen table and climbs in our bouncy chair or on top of my washer to play in the sink. I found him in my bathroom, in the sink, playing with Bryan's razor.

I know I sound like a horrible mother, and I'm sure I am, but this little guy is SO FAST!  I start feeding Brett and the next thing I know I can hear him in the tub, or on the washer, or breaking something.  But  look at him- he is the sweetest thing!   But totally crazy!!

My Birthday

I got really lucky this year because my mom came to visit for most of the week the week of my birthday. It was so nice to  have a extra set of hands!
Let me back up for a sec.  Gord had preschool the day before- his first day!  And he was SOOO excited! He goes to the preschool that is next to my house with our neighbor. He had to ware his very favorite Angry birds shirt that he wants to have on every day. He helped me make sure it was all clean and ready to go for him.  I took him outside to take his picture and I hear Stockton start crying after I got a couple of pictures done.  Stockton pulled off part of his big toenail coming off our front porch so I had to send Blake over to school alone because Stock was bleeding everywhere.  I still feel bad about that.  He was so excited about his first day and I had to put it on the back burner to help Stockton out.  I hope he didn't care.  He is doing really good with school.  I'm so proud of him! He has a lot of little friends he tells me all about.
The day before my birthday Tyson made me this necklace:
He is the sweetest thing!  He is always trying to make life a little easier for me. He came up with the idea and did it himself.  Bryan didn't know what it was and threw it away later but at least I got a picture of it with my boy.
We went to the fair grounds for a picnic dinner with G-pa and G-ma Jenkins.  When I was younger and would come visit in the summer for a couple of weeks they would do this with me all the time and I loved it.  Brought back a lot of good memories.  I'm glad Grandpa felt well enough to come!
It is so hard to get a good picture of my kids.  They just never all look at the camera. Especially to get Stockton to hold still long enough for a picture.

My dr.'s office schudeles my kids check ups for me and I can change them if I want to.  Brett's 4 month apt. was on my birthday but I figured I wouldn't be doing anything fun in the morning anyway (usually) so I went.  My mom was still around and my sis in law offered to take my other kids so mom went with me.  The bad part was he needed shots and I ALWAYS feel bad when they have to get shots.  I am so grateful to get another round of the whopping cough shot though because when he was born there was a outbreak of it around here.  Nothing is worse then a really sick baby.
Bryan really did well this year for my birthday! We met up at Olive Garden for dinner while my mom had the older three boys. Then he invited his family over for cake.  This was my birthday cake:
My boys LOVED it!  Especially Blake.  I thought it was funny.  I was going to make Bryan a princess cake for his birthday but the boys didn't like that idea.  I'm pretty sure there will be very little pink in this house ever.  Bryan got me a gift card to Kohls so I can get what I want and some perfume. My parents bought me a BEAUTIFUL picture of the Logan temple.  I'm pretty sure the picture of me standing next to it is on my mom's phone though... Well here's to the last year of my twenties!

Bear Lake 2012

Bryan's sister Jenny called me the Monday before school started and invited me to her in laws cabin in bear lake and we jumped at the chance!  We go to Bear Lake every year but hadn't been yet this year so I was excited!
I love how shallow bear lake is- makes it easier to keep a eye on my kids.
My Sister in laws Becca and Jenny have lots of girls- 8 between the two of them- so my boys of course were the sharks getting the fish or something like that.
Stock was hard to watch because I had Brett with me too.  I felt better with a life jacket on him just in case he fell over and I wasn't right next to him.  He did really good though.  Here he is with Ava who is a few months older then him.
My nephew Colton took Ty on a jet ski ride and he loved it!  He loves it from my parents jet skis.
I'm not sure how he got so much mud on his face!  I'm a mean mom for taking a picture before I cleaned it off of him.
 Cheese!
Brett wasn't a fan of the water- Maybe next year!
Braden burried their dog tex in the sand.  I couldn't believe the dog let them!

4 month Brett

I can't get enough of my little guy!  He is starting to come alive lately.
-He giggles when tickled (and he is very ticklish)
-He smiles ALL the time
-He sleeps ALL NIGHT! Love this kid!
-He is starting to babble a lot and coo at me when I talk to him.
-for the most part as long as he is being held by his mama he is happy.
-Brett is starting to grab at toys and put them in his mouth.  Makes him a happier kid!
-At his 4 month well check up he was 17 lbs and 25 1/2 inches.  HUGE! No wonder my back hurts!
-Loves when he brothers talk to him.
-He is starting to wear a lot of 6/9 month clothes.
-Still isn't a fan of his car seat but is getting better.
-Almost all of his dark hair has fallen out and some peach fuzz is coming in.  It's not blonde like my other kids though.

I just love to kiss that cute face.  He is so precious! I love him!

First Grade!

I've been dreading the first day of school for Ty for awhile now so I'm glad that we finally got it over with! Ty started 1st grade this year at Providence elementary school with Mrs. Downs as his teacher.  She is a intern so I was worried about what kind of teacher she will be like.  So far she seems to be good and Ty seems to like her.  The whole night before his first day I had a hard time sleeping because I was worried about him getting lost or kids being mean to him. It's weird for a mom who has been there for everything in his life to not know what he is doing all day anymore. I always know what he ate, who he played with, what he was playing, what he was doing.  Everything!  It's a odd lost of control for lack of a better word in my kids life. It's a good thing don't get me wrong but a hard one too!  I hope he acts the way he should and pays attention to what his teacher says. I hope he makes friends and fees successful at school.  He is having a little bit of a hard time adjusting to going all day.  When he gets home he is kind of emotional and has a short fuse.  I have to let him unwind for a little while before he starts acting like normal Ty.  He is just really tired I think.  Almost every mom I talk to says the same thing about their kids with 1st grade so I'm not too worried about it.  I'm glad he has a few kids in his class he knew from last year.  He was really excited about eating school lunch and was upset I sent him with a sack lunch the first day.  I guess he wanted to be like the other kids.  I love my handsome little guy and MISS HIM while he is at school!
