This should have been a big year for Brett. Turning 8 is a big milestone and I was worried that being stuck at home would ruin it. Since Spencer was done with his two week quarantine from flying home from his mission we wanted to visit them in Wyoming. We also didn't know when Spencer would be going back on his mission and wanted to see him before he left.
East was very happy.
The morning of Brett's birthday he opened some some presents. Wyoming is the perfect place for a kite.
We bought some pizza and Katie helped me put a 8 on it.
It helps that Katie is awesome at decorating cakes! He was so happy!
We got Joe's family on their computer to sing with us when he blew out his candles.
On our way home we stopped at his cool place for the kids to climb around on the rocks.
When we got home Grandma and Grandpa Palmer came over and gave Brett his presents. They kept their social distance from us. They were very careful though the pandemic and we never really got close to them for weeks.
Brett's best friend from church Luke came over to give him treat too.
Brett, I can't tell how how much I love you! You have the sweetest heart and a tender soul. You care about people and your laugh is my very favorite sound in this whole world. You are so smart! Reading comes so easy to you. I'm so lucky to be your mom and I love you!
