All I could think about is getting Easton on the Pirates ride. He had been a stinking pirate for the whole year since we had been on the ride last time. He has watched videos of the ride on you tube- we bought a children's book with cute pictures from the ride with the words to the song. He knows most of the words to the song! He had on his hate, jacket and pirate boots and Grandma Debbie and I were pumped to get him on the ride. The older boys went to Indiana Jones and we took East. He was perfect until we walked into the building where we saw the boats. Then he started to cry. "I no go on pirates! Scary!" I couldn't believe it. I would have lost money on that one. I made him ride it anyway because I am a mean mom I guess. Honestly he is just scared of the drops at the first in the dark then he is good. He cried the rest of the day whenever we took him on it.
Our next ride was splash mountain. My whole family (minus Easton and Grandma) got in line. Bryan wanted to be in front with the go pro- rookie mistake. He got soaked. Like drenched. Lige and I in the back only got sprinkled. We had a good giggle about it. Bryan on the other hand wouldn't go on it the rest of the trip.
I love this photo.
I went on it again with the older three boys. This is Stockton and my before and after pic.
I had this dream that my whole family could pretty much ride every ride. I had measured easton like 100 times. I even had him measured with his boots on at the dr office two weeks before and they said he was tall enough. In California Adventure he was tall enough. We waited in the long line to finally get on thunder mountain all together and ride as we were getting on the stupid fat chick at the end wanted to measure him. She said he was too short and made us get off. The only way to get off is to climb over the seats and go off the other side. He was screaming because he wanted to ride. She didn't even offer me a way to ride again.
My "pirate" was scared of captain hook. His favorite person in this world. He cries when we watch peter pan and he looses. He said later he was scared Captain hook would run him through. haha. There was no line to see him too I was so sad. He just screamed when I tried to get him close.
We waited in a long line (seriously the lines were insane this time. It was so annoying we went at the slowest time of year and it was crazy) to get on Star tours. They wouldn't let East on this line either but at least the guy was nice about it. We get on the ride and it starts up. But the screen wasn't working. So the room was moving and the sound was working but there was nothing on the screen. Annoying after you just waited 30 minutes to get on the thing. So we all sat there and when they wanted us to leave we told them what happened. We had to wait another 10 minutes or so to get in another room to ride it. I was pretty sick after doing it twice.
East loved the tea cups and I did a rider swap pass to get on matterhorn with the big boys.
East was even scared of the Tiki room. Honestly he was annoying it drove me crazy. His favorite things for a year and he was scared when we took him back to see it.
Dole whips!
Day 2- decent weather and busy lines. I honestly think he Easton would have loved more rides I would have liked it better.
