Poor poor Bretty

Brett has had a ruff go the last few weeks. At the beginning of February he started with what I thought was a diaper rash but once going to his well check up found out he had a yeast infection. I was like really?? Boys can get those? Come to find out they are equally normal for boys to have them as girls when they are in diapers. My dr. gave me a cream for it and sent us on our way. The week later it wasn't just still there it was worse! So I went back in ( and I don't take my kids in that often) and got a stronger cream. It it's for athletes foot so I was nervous to be putting it on his diaper area but that was the stuff I needed so I did it. It was around this same time i noticed it starting on his bum. I started putting the cream on it and trying my best to help him get rid of it. Two weeks later and a oral medication from the dr office it was still all over his bum and in that time he caught croup! Yesterday I noticed it bleeding on his bum so I called and made yet another appointment. Come to find out he has (are you ready for this?) a yeast infection, strep on his bum AND croup. How many different things can go wrong with this kid??? So we are quitting the oral yeast infection medication and starting a antibiotic (that will make the yeast flare up) a steroid for the croup ( that will make the yeast worse) a cream for the yeast infection and a heavy rash cream for his bum. You should see me getting this kid ready for bed. It's a mess! Did I mention. we are leaving this weekend to Disneyland? This should be interesting! Poor Brett! Makes me feel like I've failed him as a mother.
