August 2024

We started August with a McEvoy wedding! Cute little Ethan got married. But he isn't the little 4 year old I remember anymore. He found an amazing girl and I was so lucky to have been the photographer for them.

I actually was at their sealing and when I got out of the temple and started taking a few photos my lens stopped focusing. Panic set in and I starting messing with my camera more. I still don't know why it did it. But the good news is I always carry a spare camera. And got that one out and starting working and it was fine. But made me freak and buy a new camera. Drove me crazy and my old one isn't the same as my new one.

We spent the summer taking temple prep classes with Ty and he finally got to go through at the beginning of August. He didn't want a big group. I had family that would have liked to come but he just wanted grandparents and parents to come. He didn't want it to feel like a show- I know it wouldn't have but I wanted to abide by his wishes.

It seemed crazy to have my son in the temple with us. I'm so proud of the man he has grown up to be.

Later that night Bryan and I went to Bee Seamons wedding at the Old Rock Church

Our Primary party -
Jack was ending his home MTC and was going to go to the temple and took Tyson with him. I'm so glad he got to go with Jack before he left.

Stockton grew this himself and put it in the country fair.
The boys helping Grandma move some stuff in her new cabin! I should call it Grandpas Cabin.
Getting a ribbon in the county fair!

Laycee got to ride her horse in the rodeo at the fair and I went and took some photos of it.

Happy happy birthday to my bestest friend. He is my little buddy. Happy 9th birthday East!

He loves Mario lately and got a lot of Mario type toys.

It was a Sunday so we had cake at Grandma Palmers and The Pack Grandparents came over to celebrate as well.

My Brett is starting at Spring creek! they had a open house and practiced opening his locker. Stock was here too but opened his locker once and ran home.
Someone is riding his bike around!
Eastons birthday party! It was the biggest party we have done for him. His friend Carter, Avery, Max and Evan. I didn't know when Evan came that he was allergic to latex which half of my games involved balloons with latex. Poor guy. So I had him sit back a couple of games and take some others out. His party was Mario themed.

Last summer was the Olympics in Paris France. A kid that grew up in Cache Valley got 8th place in the marathon!  And we got his photo for the family magazine. I had Blake go with me to help hold up my Grandpas flag behind them for a photo. He was excited. His name is Conner Mantz and his wife.
After we headed to bear lake to see Grandpas cabin and stay there! They literally were cleaning up and the electrical was just finishing up. We were cleaning up dust and dirt off the floor and setting up beds. Blake had a race and Bryan was working so it was just me and the other 4 boys. We had a great time! I'm glad I got to go with Tyson he worked so hard so summer on it.

His first meet was out of town and I missed it but it started off an awesome season for Blake!

We went on a rzr ride with our friends and it was really cold! We were freezing! It was our big friend ride of the summer.

My friend Shelly and I

Blake got his braces off!!
Running the Top of Utah half marathon! Blake got third in his age group! He got 1:35 mins overall 50th out of 719th.

Our neighbor Perry ran too and placed in his age group.

My nephews wife Addi ran too! I just love her she is such a sweetheart.

August was so busy I had to split more of the month in other posts.
