His tags came! It's getting real! And a email of the people in his home MTC district who were his same district in the MTC.

Ty and I went to the Temple with the other boys started school. They had just changed the endowment session to make it go faster and the session was so full! I asked Ty what he thought of the changes since he went before a couple of times before it changed. He said he couldn't tell the difference haha. It was really cool to go with him.
We bought some meat with sauces and had it for everyone. We ate in our backyard.
Bryan is crazy about his lawn- he mows it twice a week and works really hard on it. He doesn't allow people to pull on the park strip by the road because it's grass. Even putting caution tape there. But he allowed it for this we needed the parking. And Tayson - Teagan's little brother was freaking out when we said to park there. We had to send a photo to his brother he wouldn't believe it.
A W for Wendy's to tease Taegan.
For Tyson his friends are everything. He is always out with his friends and texting them on his phone. I'm sure it was hard to leave but so many of them were leaving too.
Sannette is going to miss him so much. Ty would go weekly to do respite with her. She kept talking about her last hug to Ty. She told everyone about him going on a mission and still talks about him now.
After the family all left we went in the evening for Ty getting set apart as a missionary to his mission. Our Stake president is a friend of ours too- I have a lot of love and respect for him and his sweet wife who is my friend. He allowed us to talk to him first. My in laws came my parents stayed with my brother and his family at their house.
Ty had his farewell on August 25th in our ward. We had a lot of family come and Becca and Brad watched from home in Arizona. Nate and his family came. Of course a ton of Tysons friends where there that hadn't left yet or were younger. A lot of Blakes friends love Ty and came.
Another kid in our ward spoke who was getting home so Ty started his talk saying "thanks for all the ladies that came to hear him talk. And if there were there for Mac he would be home in two years" everyone laughed at that.
He talked about our trip to the sacred grove. Which in the moment made that entire trip worth it if that was the only thing we got out of it. I highly recommend taking your kids there when they are old enough to understand.
Ty loves the old testament. Weird right? He talked about sacrifice in the bible with stories like Kane and Abel. One line I liked was in this life we are going to be sacrificing something- good or bad. So make it a good one. " "God put us here with a destiny and if you turn against it you a depriving the world of you." "What things in your life are you placing between you and God.
"I look forward to be promoted from a fisherman to a fisher of man"
Then he added in some George Strait lyrics at the end. As per usual.

Below is Ty putting on his tag for the first time.
Crazy enough his companion is a kid from down the street! His name is Calvin Mortensen. My stake president hasn't seen that before. Two kids MTC comps from the same stake. It was cool Calvin showed up to get set apart just after Ty.
What a hard and cool thing. I'm so happy he has chosen to serve a mission. I can't wait for him to learn and grow with this experience. To gain some understanding of the world and how other people live. But my heart broke into a thousand pieces of the thought of not seeing him for two years.
Our wonderful Stake President Dave Smith.
