One of the places I wanted to go to the most was Siesta Key. I was told by a lot of people it's the most beautiful beach! My family are bums when it comes to driving though and I kind of had to make them go.
The beach was so beautiful! The white sand was amazing. When we got there we were like 6 people back on the beach it was so busy. I haven't seen that many people at the beach before I think ever. As much as I love the West side of Florida the ocean is so calm on this side and my kids wanted to play in the waves.
Stockton for some reason refused to really be by the water and stayed under the umbrella.
All the boys but Stock helped make this sandcastle.
For some reason my photo of this is at the bottom. We went to a place to eat for lunch after the beach called the old salty dog. They had this sign that said do not feed the bird. I wasn't sure what that ment. When while we were eating we saw this huge bird on the patio and Ty wanted to go out to see it.
We went around to a few stores to get some little things and headed back to Port Charlotte.
One thing that was weird about where we were staying was there were no other people! We only saw one other person that was just checking on their home. I guess this area got hit but a huge hurricane a few years back and didn't really recover. It was weird but kind of nice to not have a ton of people around.
Here is the bird- and another big fish Blake caught.
Blake caught a huge fish! The biggest from the home of the trip.
