December 2020

I surprised Bryan with a early Christmas present! We have wanted one for years. He loved it.

Jingle our elf is back!
My boys whole lives Bryan has cut their hair. And he has done a really good job. But Bryan's bosses daughter helps manage a place called GOAT haircuts. They had a night to come in for free to family and friends. My boys went in to get their first hair cut by a professional.
They were hooked! Now my older boys always want to get a professional hair cut.

Brett went to get his hair washed and he climbed in the chair backwards with this bum in the air and put his head in the sink.
Blake had a ton of basketball this fall. We even had to drive to Brigham City for games. Bryan took him to a game and had to wear my mask.

Stock got something in his eye. Still not sure what it was but it was starting to infected. Luckily we got it cleaned out the next morning.
Making a gingerbread train.

Bryan showed. me that he plowed my grandmas driveway. I always loved her house in the winter.

Social distance ward party. It was in the parking lot of the church and we all turned into the same radio station and played games from our cars. Santa even went around to each car to say hello!
We finally were able to get my Grandma a Alexa so we could video chat with her! I was at her house and showed her around with how it looked. We even drove around town to show her stuff. She loved it!

I played a violin Christmas piece for her.
Christmas Eve Skiing

Christams eve we had dinner with my parents at my house. We of course watched it's a wonderful life.

We had a wonderful Christmas morning! Lots of legos, toys and camping gear.

I have to tell you about our Christmas miracle. My sweet Grandma had to go into a assisted living facility back in march of 2020. One week before the pandemic shut everything down. They would not allow us in the facility since then. We could only talk to her from her window or like 10 feet apart with a mask outside. It was AWFUL. We did our best to talk with her.

In December of that year she got a ride with the facilities driver to her dr. appoint. They wouldn't let us take her. Not even my aunt Janice who already had covid. Come to find out the driver tested POSITIVE for covid later that day. And then she caught covid from her! I was a mess. Here we waited all this time to see her and the vaccine was almost out for her to get and she caught covid. A few days later she started to fever and I was so upset. So many elderly people were dying from covid. It didn't help that my brother in law Joe let us know that day that they found cancer in him and he had to get it removed. Honestly that was the worst of my entire life for many reasons.

Well in the end she didn't really get sick at all from covid. And get this- her quarantine ended CHRISTMAS EVE. Can you believe that? So in the evening on Christmas Eve my aunt Roxey was allowed in the front part of the building to pick her up. The receptionist told me the story. When my Grandma came up Roxey looked at the employees there and ask if she could hug her. They said yes! And they were all crying because my Grandma was the first one allowed out.

We had our turn with her in the afternoon of Christmas. It was the only thing I was looking forward to myself on Christmas.

I can't tell you how happy I was to be with her

I spent a lot of the break helping the boys build their legos.
East gave Spencer this hat because he was Easton's pirate buddy. Cory slipped the "wet dog hat" into Spencers suitcase for his mission. East loved seeing this photo.

Our 16th wedding anniversary. We went to the timbermine in Ogden canyon.

For New Years we went to Wyoming to go ice fishing and celebrate the new year.
